First New Year's Day FoW
Tournament
1/1/2005

Thanks to everyone that took their New
Year's Day to play in the 1st DTNI FoW
Tournament!

We had 5 players that dragged their keisters
outa' bed without whining.   If you didn't
show, you missed a great time.  Oh
well...maybe next time.

The Rat Palace was set up with five 6x4
tables with complete terrain.  Our terrain is
not just set a "wedding cake hill or a piece
of felt.  Take a closer look at some of the
pics....you'll see full terrain features. No junk
here!!  You need to play here!

We watched US Armored Task Forces do a
number on most opponents.  The Italians
and DAK were well represented as well.

New Year's Eve celebrations had tired most
of the players out so we ended the day with
an Allied attack (6000 pts) on a combined
force of Germans, Italians and Vichy
French (6000 pts) on a 12x6 table in the
verdant coastal area of Tunisia.

The US just plastered the Axis while the
French sat on their objective and watched
the battle unfold and fold up around them.
I'm considering doing an FoW "invitational
non serious tournament" once a month at
the Rat Palace.  Check back once in a
while to see if it will happen.
