Might of Arms 4500 Pt. Per Side Slugfest
Dallas Thursday Night Irregulars
We got together on Friday night, January 14, 2005 for a little "throw down". Each player
brought 1500 points to the table.

The battle was played on level plain to expedite success for both sides. The Carthaginians sent
their elephants on turn one and promptly were repelled by both Roman artillery, skirmishers
and Indian longbows. The elephants routed through Bactrian cataphractii and through Roman
Germanic auxilliary infantry. New Kingdom Egyptian Light Chariotry played hell with the
Persians throughout the game. The Indians pressed the cavalry impaired Bactrians with
archery but the Bactrians turned the Indian flank.  The Romans advanced upon the
Carthaginians pushing the mass of skirmishers back but consistently not charging when the time
called for it.
The game was nip and tuck for over 4 hours but the Egyptian/Carthaginian/Bactrian coalition
was successful in the end
This is a regular game for the TNI.  We play larger scale battles on our regular evening gaming
night.  Check out the gallery.  A battle report for a 9000 point game just cannot be
comprehensive.  You oughta' just come out and throw down with us.

Painting Tip:
Try brushing a coat of Minwax
Royal Walnut Polyshade Stain over
your figure when it's finished.  You
don't have to go through a multiple
set of hoops to get things done.
Works for everything including
faces.  Just spray a coat of flat over
the figure once it's dry and
highlight, detail to your heart's
content. It's also sealed!  Doesn't
get any better than this!  Thanks
Kyle for getting me started with this
process.
