Died For Glory-The
Franco-Prussian War of 1870
paved the way for the rise of a
united German Federation of
States under Bismarck and
spelled the end of Napoleon III's
dream of a Second French
Empire. Technology such as
bolt action breech loading rifles,
fast breech loading artillery and
the first use of machine guns on
the continent illustrated the
technology race of the late 19th
Century. This war spelled the
end of the classical and the
advent of total warfare. We play
Bob Burke's and Dave Waxtel's
Died For Glory and do things
